I grew up on the west side of Detroit and was baptized at Strathmore Methoodist when the church was located on Schoolcraft just a couple of blocks west of Grand River. By late 1951 when I became a Boy Scout, the church was in a new facility on Schoolcraft between Memorial and Abington. That was BSA Trop 261 which had been in existence for 25 years when I joined! I attended Dossin Elementary, Edison Elem. and Redford HS class of 1958 - just in case anybody is looking for me :-).
