Is there an Historical Society to contact that might have those records, or know of someone who would be willing to look - or have the correct numbers to call ? (there is no one listed under the 'hire an expert' here on Ancestry - nor could I find a contact under RAOGK or the Wayne Co., rootsweb site) What I'd like to find are naturalization records (if they exist) circa mid-late 1880. [I have not found my person in the Federal District records so I'd like to confirm that he didn't get naturalized at the county/town level.] I do have he and his family in census records from 1850-1900, although 'technically' not in 1900 as he died in 1899. Suggestions as to where to go from here would be greatly appreciated. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Hello, Wayne Co Circuit Court naturalizations were filmed by LDS. The original records and a set of films are held at the Archives of Michigan in Lansing. There are also Detroit Recorder's Court naturalizations. They are at the Burton Historical Collection. If you send an e-mail to Detroitsearch@hotmail.com along with the name, I'll check Recorder's Court.
