    3. Hello, Wayne County probate files to 1900 were filmed by LDS. The Archives of Michigan has the films and offers a copy service. The Detroit Police have told me that theit records were water damaged and thrown away. I question this as this summer there was a newspaper article about saving some old files and discarding the rest. Search the Detroit Free Press archives for the article. You should check with the Wayne County coroner. They may have information.
