I didn't record where I found it just the microfilm # 7491. Early records really don't have much information. Here's what I have transcribed from his record. (Naturalization Oath) I, Christian Ternes of Wayne County and State of Michigan, do swear that the petitioner, Adam Schulte has resided within the limits and under the jurisdiction of the United States of America five years and within the State of Michigan one year; that is to say, he the said (?) has resided in Wayne County all which places are within and under the Constitution of the United States;-and that during his residence within the United States, he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. Sworn and subscribed in open Court this 18 day of October A.D. 1856 (Signed) Christian Ternes (and) E. H----, clerk. I, Adam Schulte do swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States and that I do absolutely and entirely renounce and adjure forever all allegiance to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty, and particularly do absol! utely and entirely renounce and adjure all allegiance and fidelity to the King of Prussia whereof I was a subject. His was the only naturalization record that I found for any of my gggrandfathers. I also wrote to the Chicago NARA for copies but they could not find my other relatives.
