If you know where they were in 1930, start looking for the city directories after that year. I know there was one for 1938 and 1940 and then they just to after WWII. There are some city directories on Ancestry, Footnotes and of course at various larger libraries. You did not say where you live. Of course you can go backward from the 1930 city directory to hopefully find when Edith & her husband were last living together.
