Hello everyone. I emailed Proquest myself. The Historical Newspapers database which may contain the Detroit newspapers is ONLY available to libraries or organizations. NOT for individual consumer subscriptions. The Proquest representative advised that we need to request our community libraries to subscribe. You can call/write to Proquest and ask them where the closest library is to your zip code who subscribes. Donna
