Perhaps it was similar to Vista Maria, a detention facility for troubled/problem girls/women. Seems I recall hearing about the sisters of Good Shepherd, might have even morphed into Vista Maria, they were the same type of facility. When adults would mentin someone they knew being sent there, they spoke in whispers, but were loud and clear while threatening us over behavioral issues. Sorry for the poor memory. It had females of teenage years. Also there were several older women, perhaps a 'nursing home'? Does anyone know what that was? Sue
