According to my research, he was born in 1849 in Germany (or Prussia) and was married twice. First to Juliana (born 1846) and had five children. Second marriage to Henrietta Pegutzke (b. 1864) with eight children. Ludwig or Louis immigrated in 1880 according to the 1900 census and moved to Detroit, Michigan. I have seen information on the message board that he has brothers that also immigrated. Any info on Ludwig would be appreciated.
