I am searching for a great grandmother from Hamtramck. Her children were put in an orphanage too. She was said to have died at Northville State Hospital in 1974-- but I have nothing to document it. The children (all girls)were in Guardian Angel Orphanage (somewhere between 1930's- 1940's) I am looking for anyone that can help me find records from those places. When my grandmother tried to get information, she was told the records were closed and she couldn't find any answers.
