Plat maps for Wyandotte, Trenton, Brownstown. Time period 1850-1900 Where would I find them? Wyandotte's Bacon Library does not have any - only a few city directories for Wyandotte. I am trying to find the following locations: 1865/68 where in Brownstown Twp did Daniel Bentley live. 1868-70 managed a restaurant/boarding house in Wyandotte 1850-1870 where was the John Smith farm in Brownstown Twp? Did they have a family cementery? Their farm was suppose to be near Sibley Road Thank you.
couple of ideas if you haven't tried: google.com more and more stuff is showing up on line Lib of MI in Lansing has an area on the second floor with plat maps from around the State contact the Township/City you're working on. is there a city/township historical society/group? Check with them. I know there is the Downriver Gen group. check the city directories for the surrounding area. some of them were for the county and had many areas in them. did you talk to the reference desk people at the your library for ideas? You never know what you might find out. happy hunting, marge -----Original Message----- From: bhurst1948@aol.com To: MIWAYNE@rootsweb.com Sent: Wed, Mar 10, 2010 9:04 am Subject: [MIWAYNE] Plat maps Plat maps for Wyandotte, Trenton, Brownstown.
