I called the Assessor's office and they have nothing going back to 1901. I wrote to the Historical Society as they are closed today to see if they could direct me. Thank you. -----Original Message----- From: Jan Cortez <janacortez@charter.net> To: miwayne@rootsweb.com Sent: Tue, Mar 30, 2010 1:52 pm Subject: Re: [MIWAYNE] Village of Plymouth 1901 Try contacting the City of Plymouth at http://www.ci.plymouth.mi.us/ The Assessor should be able to give you the property information. If this is not a portion of the City, then it would be in Plymouth Township and the City should be able to tell you that and who else you might contact. Did they tell you that the subdivision and lot no longer exist? Just curious, as I was an Assessor for awhile and if the lot was still in existence, they should be able to give you an address and tell you approximately where it is located in the City. Cross streets, etc. Jan ----- Original Message ----- From: <bhurst1948@aol.com> > > I called the Assessor's office and they have nothing going back to 1901. > I wrote to the Historical Society as they are closed today to see if they > could direct me. > Thank you. > > > > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Jan Cortez <janacortez@charter.net> > To: miwayne@rootsweb.com > Sent: Tue, Mar 30, 2010 1:52 pm > Subject: Re: [MIWAYNE] Village of Plymouth 1901 > > > Try contacting the City of Plymouth at http://www.ci.plymouth.mi.us/ The > Assessor should be able to give you the property information. have you tried to locate the Sanborn Fire maps? Don't know if Plymouth was covered or not but worth a try. do you know what the street is? If so, try searching the 1900 census. Pretty sure Plymouth was not very large in 1900. happy hunting marge -----Original Message----- From: bhurst1948@aol.com To: miwayne@rootsweb.com Sent: Tue, Mar 30, 2010 2:17 pm Subject: Re: [MIWAYNE] Village of Plymouth 1901 I called the Assessor's office and they have nothing going back to 1901.
