Just off the top of my head--July 1967 were the Detroit riots. It was a horrid time. Then April 4th 1968 MLK was assasinated and things were extremely tense at that time. The police and fire departments were all called in; vacations canceled etc. My guess would be that if any of the papers were publishing at that time--it was about current events. I don't recall any "paper strikes" at this time but then that was over 40 years ago.
