She is my grandmother's (Virna Smith) mother. Her Elliott family is from Northumberland, England, Little Houghton. Her mother was Rebecca Douglas (Douglas family from Winlaton, Durham, England.)who was a headmistress of schools in Ceylon, now Sri Lanka. Rebecca and her husband William Elliott left Ceylon and retired to Canada, where Anna Dale was born in Danville, Quebec. I have done years of work on this family and would love more information from you too!
