My grandmother was adopted at the age of 2, and she didn't find out about her siblings until a few years before her passing. Since not much is known by living relatives, all I have to work with is my grandmothers birth certificate and a copy of her probate court order for her adoption. I've tried looking at great grandparents names and home address in census and city directories but have come up with nothing. I've traveled to the State Library and Archives, as well as Detroit Public Library to look further but, due to apparent state regulations, I cannot access birth records or probate court docs in relation to adoptions for the time period in question (1919-1921).
