Even his granddaughter does not know when he died - but she thinks about 1942. He had surgery in the Detroit area and died after complications. I found the obituaries you mentioned and will update my tree to combine Thomas Blake & Blake. They must have been listed differently on the different census records & I just copied it without looking too far into it. I have a few other questions for you if you don't mind. I'm trying to fill out the Family tree for each of Patrick Blake's children, as close to the current day as I can for my grandfather whose name is Frank Blake. (1) Was Thomas Blake McVeigh the only child of Catherine & Thomas that had children? (2) Was Barbara the only child Thomas had? Catherine's obit said she had 2 grandchildren. (3) Would you mind sharing the names of Barbara & Norman's children & grandchildren? If you wish these to remain private, I completely understand. I had come across those sources previously. I recently took a trip to Detroit to do some investigating and stopped by Mt Elliott cemetery to view the Blake burial section. There were roughly 12 of them buried in the section, including Patrick, his wife Eliza, and her father Felix O'Rafferty. I uploaded pictures of the tombstones to www.findagrave.com if you're interested. Do you descend somehow from the Blake family? I'm trying to build out the family tree for Patrick Blake & all his children and their descendents. So far I have a few them extended out to the present day. - Thanks! They lived in Chicago, IL for a few years. Their first child Thomas (my father) was born in Chicago, IL in 1927. Around 1929 they moved to St. Louis, MO where they had 5 more children. Paolo & Angelina divorced in 1943 & no one heard from Paolo again. Angelina & the children stayed in St. Louis. Does anyone know of this Vitale family or what happened to Paolo?
