They had several children. A daughter named Mary Harris married Charles Buchanan and gave birth to two sons: Charles, Jr and Frank. Both parents died prior to 1930. Frank and Charles were found on the 1930 Macon County, Alabama census living with Albert and Della Sullins. I found Frank on the 1940 census still residing in Macon County with the Sullins. However, his last name was no longer Buchanan but Harris (his mother's maiden name). Charles was found on the 1940 census living in Detroit Michigan with his wife Marie and two sons: Ludie and Lonnie who were born in Illinois. I found death records for both Ludie (d. 1974) and Lonnie (d 1981). I am trying to find their descendants. If you have any information please contact the writer. It had a lot of good information but at the end of the article there is a website to go to for the Archdiocese of Detroit. If you go there you they inform you how to go about getting records for baptism, marriage and death. There is also a list of closed parishes and a for to fill out for genealogy research. Site also informs you of that records for adoption, orphanages and any cleric teachers records were not kept. Hope this further information can be of help to others. St. Joseph and St. Patrick Catholic Church have merged into one parish now called "St. Vincent Pallotti." The third parish St. Elizabeth closed in 2010 and merged with St. Joseph. They are in they currently designing a web page for the new Catholic Church. I don't know where it will be located. So I would suggest anyone searching for record probably should contact Bacon Memorial District Library, 45 Vinewood Street, Wyandotte, MI 48192, phone 734-246-8357. They would probably have some idea where the records for baptism, marriage and death would be. I hope this information is of help to whoever is searching in this area.
