If you have a lot of births to look up, it might be faster to take a quick trip up there and do it in person. Usually, Wayne County doesn't charge you unless they find the record. Michigan state will charge you regardless and are more expensive. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Unfortunately, there is no way to find out in advance when ordering through them. The only thing you can do is see if the LDS has the information on microfilm. They do have a few of the films available (as I have looked at them myself) that are the earlier (1900) years for Wayne County but not that many years are available. You can go online at familysearch.org and look at what's available in their catalog. It seems that they didn't even go to the 1920's but it's been a while since I've looked. Also, I've ordered through the state of Michigan and been told a few times that they don't have the death records I am seeking when they did, because I found one of them that I tried to obtain through them about 10 years ago that is now on SeekingMichigan.org. My husband's ancestors were saloonkeepers that lived in this area. I am trying to prove the parents of my husband's g-grandfather, John Sylvester Addison. I am thinking Mary Addison and husband, Frank, were John Sylvester's father, but am not 100% sure. I was very interested in the post about the Czech society and the fact that many of them are buried in Woodmere Cemetery. Some of the Addison ancestors are buried in Grand Lawn, but am not sure how far back they go. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Hello all... I am seeking information on Gwen L. MOTT b. abt. 1929 to Claude Murray MOTT (born March 2, 1900) and Reta M GOWER. Reta and Claude also had a son who was born Oct 6, 1926--Murray W. MOTT. Reta GOWER (b. abt 1909) was also married a second time to Joseph Sinceworth. She may have been married a third time. From several obituaries, I have come to the conclusion that she died before 1969. In addition, rumor has it that she was murdered. Gwen married in about 1947 and had a daughter by the name of Barbara Jean. My interest is in Reta, Gwen and Barbara Jean Thanks!
