Frank and Mary Addison were my husband's g-g-grandparents, through their son, John Sylvester (age 15 on the 1880 census), his son, William Joseph, his son, William Edgar--who was my husband, Dave's father. I was never able to prove Frank and Mary as the g-g-grandparents till I recently found John Sylvester's Marriage Record (to Martha Hartka) in Ontario, Canada. I now have dates to start search for the actual death records which will, hopefully, provide additional information. I had already discovered the seekingmichigan.org website tracing another one of Dave's lines, but no luck with Frank's or Mary's death record. I understand Seekingmichigan.org is still updating records for that period, so will check back occasionally for additional records. Have you tried familysearch.org in the pilot records search? This is different than the normal search engine usually utilized. www.familysearch.org, select the search records tab, then record search pilot. I've found a number of actual records there...the LDS are uploading a lot of their microfilmed records to the website so it is continually changing. I've also been taking some additional genealogy classes and there is a program on cemeteries coming up in Sept that I plan to attend...Clay County, Florida. The first time I'd heard about Prague was on this thread and I haven't had any time to delve into it. I think I'll hit the LDS Family History Center soon, looking for Catholic churches in Prague as the Addisons were all Catholic. Possible that the Cinadars were Catholic as well? I will keep my eyes peeled for the Cinadar/Schneider connection while searching. Any Hartkas in your tree? It is amazing how many of these immigrants intermarried. I can be reached at addisoncindy@comcast.net. Sometimes I don't get to check Ancestry as much as I'd like. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Detroit's are $20 and Michigan's are $26.
