I would try looking for naturalization papers. If you are just starting researching, I would recommend that you join a genealogical society and read books on researching your family both here in the US and wherever they are supposed to be from. 1. [MIWAYNE] FW: Detroit Free Press now on Proquest HistoricalNewspapers database!
    2. Lisa Haerens
    3. Press now on Proquest HistoricalNewspapers database! This is amazing! How does the average gal who lives out in the country access this database? What libraries that participate will allow you to get/purchase a library card online and not in person? That information does not seem to appear anywhere. Thanks! Lisa Message Board Post: Those links are just other press releases of the same announcement - they don't give you access to the actual database. I was wondering if anyone knows how to get access to the actual database. It looks like the Library of Congress has access to the full subscription. Some other libraries only have access to one newspaper (like the NY Times).
