Nice to see your name about. You sent me information few years ago but it didn't translate very well. I cannot even translate to your posting here. Just want to say Hello. I am still looking to connect my grandfather to someone. He is Albert W. Kesselhut--spelled many ways--b. 1858 in Keamerbruch Rammelsburg and came to US in 1893. He m. Augusta Kasselhut also b. in 1858--of same name--after settling in Troy, Kansas. She said she was from Lemtiz Betroit Ger and her parents were John William Kasselhut and Anna Pearl Gutzman also of Lemtiz who were both deceased in 1918. His parents were Albert Kesselhut, or whatever spelling, and Mary K. Grandfather was not very communicative but he took the train to Detroit each year to visit a brother. Brothers name could be Frank or August. When Grandfather left Ger, he said he left a large family. There is so much information on Internet but I can't connect him with anyone. I have the list of NachKommen von Frid! sebern with your name on it but can't connect him with anyone on it or the page you sent. It is very interesting but puzzling. Thanks. I could appreciate any help locating Rose KOZLOWSKI, age about 46, in Detroit in the 1930 census. She was born in Poland about 1882 and immigrated about 1885 with her parents. In 1930 she should have three children living with her: Clara, 21, Harry, 15, and Arthur, 12. Thank you for any assistance. Hello whomever you are, The Libary of Michigan has a searchable database of Michigan death records from 1897 to 1920. I found a death record for John Peterson, died 8 December 1918 in Detroit, with wife Bertha. He was 29, a contractor, and was born in Caseville, Michigan. His father Robert was born in Totonto, and his mother with no name listed was also born in Toronto. Could this be your man? My mother is the great granddaughter of James Manfred and Anna Dale Smith through their daughter Myra who married Glen Davidson. Their daughter Anne Shirley Davidson married Archie George, and they are the parents of my mother. Many of my extended family members live in the west, in Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon (most), California. I'm moving to Colorado in the summer. If you do an Ancestry search of any of them you should be able to find the family tree my mother is building. She has accomplished a lot to build the tree in the past few days thanks to the amazing work done by cousins like you. We are attempting to get more information from my grandmother, and will try to get some from her sister. My relatives are notoriously close-mouthed! There is a story in my family about your grandmother Virna, that she died at 17 - so it would be great to find out what the whole story is since this doesn't seem to be the case. Maybe it was a different sister? Thank you! Kirsten Gunderson Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
