My Great-grandmother was Anna Goodendorf. According to her death certificate she died in Aurora Ill on June 28, 1932. She was born in Sandweiler Luxemburg on November 3, 1878. Her father was John Goodendorf born in Hoffingon, Luxemburg. I do not know year. Her mathers name was Anna Carsh also born in Hoffingon. My great grandmother Anna married John Smith in Aorora Ill. I do not think it is happenstance with all the Goodendorfs I have found in Aurora. I am having a difficult time finding John or Anna Goodendorf in any records. I have found a John Goodendorf married to a Metilda in the late 1800's but no records of Anna. I wonder if I have the right John Goodendorf or if someone died and remarried. I too would like help Bob Smith Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. You could try putting the family in the Ancestry.com family trees. There is an Irish Genealogical Society of Michigan; maybe someone is researching the family. There is also an Irish Genealogical Society International in Minnesota. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~miigsm/index.html http://irishgenealogical.org/ If you go to www.switchboard.com and select the tab marked find a person and put one of the names of Elizabeth's survivors-I would use June's, you can find a listing for that person in Michigan. I would write her by mail and ask if she is a descendant of Hugh and Elizabeth Daly. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: shaslam100 Surnames: Parker Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.michigan.counties.wayne/18697/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am searching for any info on the Edward C. Parker family known to be living in the Detroit area in 1930. I am hoping to track down Edward's obituary, along with that of his wife's...if that is at all possible. I have tried all of the resources I know and have not found anything. Edward was born in 1888 in England. He emigrated to Canada and then came to Detroit in 1923. His wife was Lillian May Sage, b. abt 1894 in England and emigrated to Canada. She also came to Detroit in 1923. They had one child that I know of, Albert George Parker (my grandfather), b. 1917 in Canada. I have no information about this family, except what I have found online. I am hoping to track down a few more facts but need to find better records such as death records from Michigan, if possible. I would appreciate any and all help. I know Albert married there to my grandmother and I have some of that information, but other than some of the immigration records, I have little information on Edward and Lillian. I did find a family tree attributed to Lillian, but so far, I have not received any response from the owner. However, that person has less information than I do. I hope someone can help me!! Thank you very much!! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
