Hello, I am wondering if anyone knows how (or even if it is possible) to obtain employee records from the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn. My father Edward Born Cochran worked there from about 1944-to about 1949 (not exactly certain of the dates) His first cousin Lura Marie Huss Segale Evenson died October 9, 1983, and her obituary reported that she was working at Ford up until the time of her death, and that she had worked there for 42 years, which would have been from 1941 or so. I would be thrilled if anyone in the area could let me know how I could get her employee records copied for my genealogical files. As well as my father's. There is a place to email the staff at the bottom of the web page http://www.detroit.lib.mi.us/featuredcollection/burton-historical-collection Once you have the date of death, you could see if there is an article in any of the three Detroit papers for that time. The library has the newspapers but not in the Burton collection.
