    1. Re: [MIWASHTE] Sodt & related familes
    2. Hi Sue, Oh, I do hope your neighbor has the key to the puzzle! Betty's husband must have been Louis Dean Sodt? The info I got from my cousin was given to him long ago by one of the Sodt relatives somewhere. It could have been in Michigan, or even Elgin, Illinois. A branch of the "Manchester" line went to Elgin. Further confusing the whole thing is that there was yet another branch in Barrington, Illinois, who descended from an uncle of the ancestor of the Manchester line. The Barrington & Elgin folks have been confused with each other, & I have a feeling some of the Manchester line has suffered the same mixups, at least for those of us who aren't up that way. The obit that Karen has for Alvin really creates another puzzle because I'd never heard of Sarah Kortman! Maybe William (I checked my other file & I've got him there as William George) was married twice. Maybe it was someone else who was married to Christina (full name Rosiana Christina) Feldkamp. Now I'm wondering if we're missing a Sodt brother because I don't have any other likely candidates named "George" who could have fathered sons born in both 1882 (Ben) & 1897 (Alvin). And to think I was sure that this one would be easy..... the genealogy gremlins must be picking on me again! <g> Gloria In a message dated 8/9/2003 10:08:24 AM Central Standard Time, sueperry@comcast.net writes: > My next door neighbor here in Ann Arbor is a SODT.
