Booker T. Washington Memorial Gardens had its first burial in 1929. The death certificate offen contains disposition of the body or place of burial so if you haven't obtained a death record, that may give you burial information and possibly the funeral director or firm. Many firms from that era are still in business, often under a different name, and that also may give you a possible lead. Newspaper obituaries are helpful, particularly when you have an exact death date. If local papers haven't carried it perhaps a home town paper has. A death from that period most likely was recorded somewhere. Keep digging. Re Haven Memorial Gardens. I have no information about Haven. Memorial Gardens (or Parks) were becoming popular in the 1920's and are so named because the headstones are flush with the ground, giving a Park or Garden appearance, and facilitating maintenance. Consider possibly Haven was really Heaven. Is there a Heaven Memorial Gardens anywhere? Many cemeteries have areas within it having a designation. Perhaps Haven designates an area within a larger cemetery.
