Hi, I am still looking for a birth certificate for William Oscar Larmee. He was born in Scio Twp. Jan 21, 1894. I have found his baptism and confirmation certificates. However they are in German. The baptism certificate has an embossed seal. The confirmation certificate has a gold embossed seal. The certificate is for Wilhelm Oskar Larmee. Date of baptism is 20 October 1895.The part of the seal that I can read says Evan Luth Zions Gemein. The confirmation certificate lists the date as May 190 ?. The ink blots out the last number. The place is Ev Luth Salem Kircke, Scio Twp, Washtenaw. The Ev Luth Pastor appears to be F. Thrun. The seal says Evangel Luth Salem Ann Arbor, Michigan. I would guess the missing number on the year is a 7. That would make him about 13, which as I recall was about the confirmation age. Loretta, Confirmation for Wilhelm Oskar Larmee took place at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Scio Township, on May 2, 1909 according to the church records. His birthdate at the time of confirmation is listed at Jan. 21, 1894. Rev. F. Thrun served the congregation at Salem from 1908-1920.
