    3. Kim - I am not sure which Labar I am looking for!! About 1884-85 possibly a Charles H. Labar married Julia Sykes (1865-1930) and died (or left) before the 1910 census when Julia LaBar shows as a widow with daughter Martha age 3 in Ann Arbor, MI. Julia also had a son Austin Lewis LaBar born c. 1886 in NY ( possibly in Buffalo, NY). I did not find any of them on the 1900 US census. 1880 Julia Sykes was 15 on the Buffalo, Erie Co., NY census. Julia moved to Hamilton Co., TN between the 1910 & 1930 census but died 2 days after the 1930 census and was returned to Ypsilanti for burial. Her son Austin died in 1962 and was also returned to Ypsilanti. On Austin's death certificate the father is listed as Charles H. LaBar and "Place of Disposition is: Removal to Ypsilanti, Michigan". No one alive today knows where in Ypsilanti they were buried or anything at all about Julia's husband. Please e-mail me direct - I appreciate any help or advice you can give.
