I've "rescued" an old photograph of C. B. WOODWARD of Ann Arbor, Michigan which was taken at the Gibson Studio in Ann Arbor, MI. The photograph is dated May 21st 1882 with Mr. WOODWARD appearing to be in his 20's at the time it was taken. In addition to his name he has also included the following notation on the back of the photograph "Compliments of" and "Clerk St. James Hotel" along with "Your Room Mate" and "Room No 311, 2nd Flight, Hall No. 2" and "One of the Gang". In addition, along the side is written "Jim, always look for the moon". I am under the impression the Mr. WOODWARD and the recipient of the photograph worked together at the hotel mentioned and shared some good memories. I'm hoping to locate someone from Mr. WOODWARD's family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to their care.
