Take a look at GENDIS at: http://www.mdch.state.mi.us/pha/osr/gendisx/index.htm You can write to Washtenaw County for a copy of the death certificate (ledger page 285, record 1), but it's unlikely to contain any more info than given here. For the death announcement, you'd need somebody to check the local papers, which can probably be done in the Ann Arbor public library. I live in Washington state myself, and on occasion I've been able to order microfilms of Michigan papers through inter-library loan, and find death announcements on my own.
