Greetings, I enjoy the washtenaw Co. web site. My grandparents lived on Stien Road for over 60 years in a home built by my grandmothers father, Andrew Smith in the mid 1800s. I would like to get what ever documentation I can for the death of andrew Smith, died on 13 Sep 1917. His wife was Paulina Jane (Smith) Latson.He purchased the land on Stien Road on Oct 9, 1835. This land was the first high land north of the Huron River on what is now the Whitmore Lake road. Adjacent to Barton Hills CC on the west, and cornering on Barton Hills on the south. The Washtenog Memorial Park is on land he owned and subquently sold to the memorial park, my grand parents, father and mother and several family members are buired there. I would like to get an obit. for Andrew Smith, and Paulina Jane Smith who died on 17 Sep 1911. I also would appreceate a wedding anouncement, and any information published in the news paper for this marriage of Kate Amy Smith and Edward William Latson, who were married on Jan 1, 1900 at the Stien Road residence.
