I do not know if this is the same HICKS family, but this is all that I have in Washtenaw County, Michigan. Eliphalet Lewis married Elsey Hicks, 24 February 1839 Washtenaw Co., MI. She was 39 years old when she married; he was 48. This was his third marriage or fourth if Mary Lewis, wife of Eliphalet Lewis, buried in the Frank Woods Farm Cemetery is his first wife. Elsey Hicks was born 22 October 1800 and died 01 April 1840. She is also listed as having died 10 April 1838 at the age of 39 years [which must be inaccurate]. Before she was married she was of of Ogden, Lenawee Co. MI. Vital Records, An Arbor Washtenaw County, MI #21 1839 Mar 4 I hereby certify that the bans of matrimony were solemnized by me the 24th day of Feb, 1839 between Eliphalet Lewis of Salem, Washtenau County and state of Michigan, aged 46 years.
