On the border of the towns of Wayne, Wayne Co., NY and Tyrone, Wayne Co., NY is an old cemetery in which the next older generation of LEWIS family members is buried. One of the names that cemetery goes by - an older name - is The Frank Wood Farm Cemetery. Perhaps there is a connection between your Wood family in Washtenaw County, MI and the Wood family in Wayne Co., NY. The town of Tyrone is now in Schuyler Co., NY. The center of Tyrone and Wayne towns is only a couple of miles apart. There is still not much there. I think the library is the place to start, as this Wood family was in at least these Michigan counties: Washtenaw, Wayne, Ionia and Mecosta, and that's just my husband's Wood branch.
