We have the following record and have added your email address to the record: JOHN LYMAN TURREL m ABBIE GASKILL SCHUYLER in WASHTENAW cty 07 APR 1864 electree@mvn.net We do not find a record for M L Glazier and Jennie Turrel. We also checked the spelling Turrell. You might want to contact the Washtenaw County Clerks office to see if they have a death certificate for Mrs M L Glazier to see if it lists her maiden name. There may be a record for the 1864 marriage even though Michigan did not require keeping of Vital Records until 1867, many counties kept records before this. Here are a couple of sources for on line records: State of Michigan Death Certificate Request Link: http://www.mdch.state.mi.us/PHA/OSR/DEATHAPP.HTM REQUESTING A MICHIGAN DEATH RECORD The Michigan Vital Records office has records of deaths that occurred in Michigan and were filed with the state since 1867. Some of the records were not filed with the state; more records are missing from the pre-1916 files. Anyone is eligible to request a copy of a Michigan death record if the application is completed and signed and the required fee paid. You can also order the death cert. from the county of death. State of Michigan Marriage/Birth/Divorce Requests http://www.mdch.state.mi.us/PHA/OSR/vital_records/requests If you have other Michigan Marriages that you would like to have entered into the Michigan Marriage Index Database please send them to us in a .txt format. Jack and Marianne-- Thank you for your prompt response to my query. We already had the John Lyman Turrel/Abbie Gaskill Schuyler maarriage record. My query to you has prompted a followup from Nancy K research chmn of the Washtenaw County Gen Society, which just answered to her. I still believe that Jennie did marry a Glazier; maybe Nancy K will be able to follow up on your suggestions. It may be that your posting of my email address was what prompted Nancy to communicate with me. Thank you again.
