Edwards spoke to the society on the Underground RR, mentioning, among others, my kinsmen (by blood or marriage) Eli Benton, Capt John Lowry, and Sumner Hicks. Apparently some UM students were doing work on the RR at that time. Can anyone tell me how to call or contact Mrs Edwards or how to obtain a copy of the research? Does anyone have any of their own information on any of these men, about their Abolitionism or any other details? Since I have done quite a bit of digging on Lowry and Benton, contact me before taking any trouble to make copies. Yours, Jim Smith Benton
