    3. To Godfrey researchers in Washtenaw County, MI. I am looking for parents/siblings/cousins, etc. of MARY "POLLY" GODFREY born March 26th, 1804 in NY. "POLLY" GODFREY married DANIEL TAINTER (sometimes spelled TAINTOR) in Washtenaw County, MI on May 29th, 1832. They went back to NY after their marriage, but returned to the Jackson County area of MI before 1846. Rives, Parma, Tompkins areas is where they resided over the 20 years or so after 1840. Daniel Tainter died in Jackson County, MI on March 29th, 1846. Polly "Tinter" is listed in the 1850 Jackson County Census with her children & next to Godfrey's. In 1860 she is using name of "Polly" Godfrey. Mary "Polly" Godfrey Tainter Godfrey died on February 12th, 1861, in Jackson County, MI. Their children are: Sarah Louisa Tainter, b. March 7th, 1833, married Nathan Gleason Fillmore JEFFORDS/JEFFERDS. Mary Ann Tainter, b. April 10th, 1835, died in Jackson County, MI on Jan. 30th, 1870. Miriam Tainter b. August 4th, 1837, died Ja. 8th, 1865, in Jackson County, MI. Daniel Augustus Tainter b. March 1st, 1839---my line & I know all history. Nancy Tainter b. August 4th, 1841, died in 1920's, never married. Norton Tainter, born Dec. 12th, 1845---died January 3rd, 1848 in Jackson County, MI. The daughters witnessed a marriage with a Richard Godfrey & they are living next to Thomas Godfrey, Ellen, Mira, Rob, etc. Does anyone know which Godfrey family she is related to in 1832? I believe she is a sister to David & Adonijah Godfrey or a cousin. Thank you for any help. Marilyn LeVeque
