This question is being sent to Jackson, Washtenaw and Ingham lists. Sarah Barker, b. 19 Apr 1840 probably in Washtenaw County, was daughter of John H. and Susanna (King) Barker, who came to Washtenaw County in 1838 from England. I can't find Sarah after 1860, when she appears on the census living with her parents. Assume she got married. Can anyone set me on track of finding her? Thanks, Ann Marr

I've "rescued" an old photograph of W. E. HALLOWELL which was taken at the Gibson Studio in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Mr. HALLOWELL appearing to be in his 20's at the time it was taken. I'm hoping to locate someone from his family, so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to its rightful place with family. If you are a member of this family, or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

The Merrill DNA Project would like to contact a Merrill descendant of Thomas Merrill (1646-1711) of Saybrook, CT. Many of Thomas' descendants settled in Wayne, Washtenaw, & Saginaw Cos, Michigan. We expect that DNA evidence will prove or disprove the claim that Thomas was a cousin of Nathaniel Merrill of Newbury, MA. Gary Merrill Merrill DNA Project

I am looking for the ancestors and siblings of Harry James Morris b. 1874 Chelsea, Washtenaw County, Michigan? Harry married Louella Myers they had Inez Marcella Morris my grandmother. God Bless, Jerry
I have had some success researching my family that was in Washtenaw County starting in 1838. Specifically, I found them on the boat coming over the pond from England. The extended family consisted of William and Elisabeth Barker, their children and grandchildren - who married into families including Wort, Cushman, Ross, Wortley, Case, Shufelt, Stadel, and possibly Northrup. The Kings - Benjamin and wife Ann, with more children and grandchildren, married into McClain, Seymour, Mysel, and Judson. Most, if not all, of those surnames are in Washtenaw. There may have been more family on the boat - at least three of the children were married before leaving England. Some of the possible connections from the ship's manifest include surnames Abbey or Aby, Cheffins, Clark, Cread, Fox, Hudson, Lee, Lusenby, Overhend, Watson, Williams, Overton, Puckering, and Whittaker. The families migrated outward to Ingham, Ionia, Saginaw and Van Buren counties from what I have found so far. I am still piecing them together and would love to hear from possible connections. I'm looking for Karlfred Schillack, hoping he is still on the list. I sent you an email a few days ago, but found out you may have a new email address. I have a question on the Weidmayer-Wiedmayer families. Can you contact me at jenterkar@aol.com Thanks Karen JENTER Manchester
Could someone tell me where to find obituaries from 1890 to about 1940 for someone living in Ypsilanti. I know that Ruth Gifford Deuress lived at 414 Forester St., Ypsilanti in 1890. Thank you.
