What are the given names in your family? Doris, My descent is through a daughter of Hugh and Sally Holland Mitchell's. So, the Mitchell name was lost there. The sons from this family were: William Carroll, Hugh E. and James Marion. Hugh and Sally had seven girls. They were: Sally, Rebecca, Nancy, Parthenia Jane, Elizabeth Emeline, Mary Ellen, and Arminda. I descend from daughter, Nancy Medlock Mitchell who married Josiah Stephens in Jackson County, AL. They settled in Itawamba County, MS and are both buried at Kirkville Cemetery there.
