I have several census listings that could be her family but I would like to find someone who has a Cynthia Jane in their Missouri family tree. This could possibly be them. 1860 census. Searching for parents and siblings of Cynthia Jane Mitchell. Born in Missouri (death cert.) either 1853 (birth cert.) or 1857 (tombstone) Family tradition says her family came from Kentucky. Married William Swabb in Missouri (1870 census, Callaway Co., Mo.) and family tradition says they went to Indian Terr. Ok. where my grandmother was born Oct. 5, 1879.(birth cert.) They then came to Ohio by way of Indiana. Settled in Darke Co., Ohio. Cynthia Jane died in 1940. I have her listed variously as Jane, Sinthia, C. J., and Cynthia but never as Cynthia Jane.
