Jack, My father's maternal grandmother was Matilda Jane Mitchell b.1845. IN. Daughter of John Mitchell [lived in VA./ married in TN/ lived in IN/ d. 1870 Fairfield,Jefferson County, IA. [her mother was, Tabitha [Smith?]. There was a minister named "Cindy" Mitchell that was related to my Dad. A cousin, I believe. I have no information on her and very little on John Mitchell. I am at a brick wall and looking for anyone that might be able to connect my Mitchell to their line.
