I am not positive but thinking on the possibility that my gr-grandfather, Joseph E. MITCHELL, b. abt. 1854 in Fayette County, PA, was a son of John A. MITCHELL and Susan FREY. Is anyone familiar with this John A. MITCHELL line from western PA? It is my understanding that this line of MITCHELLs descended from a John MUSCHLER of Germany, whose Americanized name became MITCHELL. Any help appreciated. Thank you. Rebecca Weigold
