Blueyejoy, My Mitchell's were in Indiana, My great grandfather, James D. Mitchell, born 1850 somewhere in Indiana? He married Mary A. Coleman December 25, 1878, before moving to Michigan, Mary was born in Ohio. About 1881 they moved to Ohio and about 1883 they moved back to Michigan. I'm still in the process of looking through the Indiana census for James Mitchell listed as a son to find my great great grandparents.
