I saw this in Somebody's Links newsletter and thought I would post it in case there is someone on the list researching Virginia Mitchells. Portraits of an unknown Army officer and what is presumed to be his wife were discovered and purchased from an antique/ pawn shop in Virginia via an auction on eBay. The buyer contacted me by e-mail on 12 October 2002, hoping that he might find a clue to the subjects in the portraits in the Virginia MITCHELLs. You may see the portraits at this link: freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~mitchell001/mys_photo.html If you would like further information, please let me know.
