    3. John and Frances were both from N.C. All of their children are accounted for: three sons Major, James and John as well as six daughters. I have most of the sons' descendants too, I think. Am still working to prove ancestors. There was another John Mitchell in the same area in Sumner Co. who died in 1826. I think his sons James and John went to Alabama.
