In the 1850 census for Hendricks co, IN there is an Alexander Mitchell (age 85, born in Ireland) in the hh of John Gregg (age 60, born in PA). I'm wondering what Alexander Mitchell's relationship is to this family; if Nancy (age 50, born in KY; and whom I'm assuming is John's wife) might be the daughter of Alexander Mitchell? Another Gregg/Mitchell relationship I'm wondering about is that of Dr. Edward Gregg who married Martha Ann Mitchell in 1868 in Newton co, MO. Martha, born 1836 in TN, was the daughter of Morris & Sarah "Sally" (Mills) Mitchell. I have no further information on Edward Gregg. Do any of you know if there is a connection between the two Gregg lines or of the Mitchells? Judy M.
