Peter, Unfortunately, I do not know yet. I have gotten back as far as my gggg grandfather, John MITCHELL who lived in RI. He married Katherine Gould and they were both from Middleton, RI. According to the book "The Goulds of Rhode Island" by Rebecca Gould Mitchell, they had the following children: Joanna, Sarah, Lydia, John Catherine, Lucy Gould, Julia Ann. So, until I get further back in my line, I can't answer the question. But I do appreciate the info!
