Brenda... This is driving me NUTS... I KNOW that our Peggy Mitchell (married John Ziba Hardee) belonged to the Richard/Joel Mitchell family... She named her oldest son Joel (my 3-g-grandfather)... and then I looked at the surnames you are researching. You wouldn't happen to have a stray Brooks in your database, would you? After Peggy died, John Ziba Hardee and his second son (by Peggy) both married Brooks girls (Tabitha and Subitha)... and what to my wondering eyes did appear but one of Ziba and Tabitha's sons named Bryant Boone Hardee. These families were dancing all around each other in Georgia and Alabama!!! Hi Carol, I dug out through my files and found a paper with the descendents of Richard Madison Mitchell b. 1747 Amelia County, VA d. Feb 1818 in Jasper County, GA. My Richard Mitchell and Mary Edwards are on this and several Elizabeth's but no Hardee. This sure hard to figure out.
