Actually the Coat of Arms was granted to an individual not a whole family. It could be passed down from son to son. The "Mitchell Coat of Arms" that I have is black shield with 3 gold diamonds seperated by a gold band with crescent and stars. I have no idea how accurate that is, and I believe that there are several Mitchell Coat of Arms that are out there. Doris Mitchell
