Hello, List. I'm trying to knock down a brick wall. John Henry Mitchell was born in Petersburg, Va. in 1745. He married Mary Zeigler of Rockingham Co., N.C. They had a son, Thomas Hardaway Mitchell, born in Dinwiddie Co., VA 28 Aug. 1793. The family moved to Oglethorpe Co., GA, where John Henry Died in 1806. Thomas married Ruth(ie) Tillery (who was born in Rockingham Co., N.C. in 1787, dau. of Joshua Tillery.) in 1814. They moved to Walton Co., GA where they are buried. I want to learn who John Henry's parents, other ancestors were. A problem is that second names were not much reported then. There were several John Mitchells at that time, and several Henry Mitchells. However, these obviously don't matvch the other facts I have.I also want to learn more about Mary Zeigler. Hello all, I'm trying to find out anything about my grandfather Albert Leroy Mitchell.......he died when I was very young, so i have little information about him, other than he MAY have been from Nebraska; moved to Ray or Clay County Missouri,and may have had a brother with the same name. He did show us a picture of his great grandmother, and said that she was full blooded Ute, and that her name translated to Peace. Hope this sounds familiar to someone, thanks for any help. Lisa Boehm
