I am looking for my Mitchell connection in Western Kentucky in the Jackson Purchase area. McCracken and Livingston County areas. This is all I have thus far on the Mitchell side. I can go back to a James M. Mitchell b. 1805 in N.C. no death date. Married- Nancy Ann Hutson b. 1816 KY no death date. Her parents were John and Lucinda Hutson (apparently this was the step mother not her real mother) (My Dad's Ggrandparents) Children were: 1832 William 1834 Henry 1836 Sarah 1838 John H 1842 James Laffete he and his wife buried in Dyer Hill Cemetery 1845 David D. Married Nancy Jane Edwards (this one is my Dad's grandparents) 1848 Thomas J. 1855 Willie David D. Mitchell b. 1845 buried in Charleston MO Married- Nancy Jane Edwards also buried in Charleston MO. Her father's name was Asa Thomas Edwards Children: don't have all the birth years Most of the people listed below are buried in Eastern Mo. in the Sikeston MO area. George Huey (b. 1875) Charles Mitchell Hattie Mitchell Kittie Jane Mitchell married a Bill Frazier Willie Mitchell Ora Lee Mitchell married Bill Sidwell (b.1880) Uell Fratius Mitchell (U.F.) This is my Dad's father, my grandfather. His first wife was Janie M. Frazier and his second wife was Alice Elizabeth Jones (my Dad's Mother and my grandmother) Uell Fratius Mitchell b. 1873, d. 1943 buried in Smithland, KY cemetery. He married Janie Frazier in 1888 had 3 children Ada Mitchell Crawford, Riley Buck Mitchell, and Frank Mitchell. Janie died in 1896. He married my Grandmother Alice Elizabeth Jones later in 1896. She was born in 1878 and died in 1971 buried in Smithland Cemetery. They had 13 children:don't have all the birth years Rosa Mitchell Mirtle Mitchell Beulah Mitchell Odebelle Mitchell Loradine Mitchell U.F. Mitchell died at age 18 in car accident Sidney Mitchell died at age 29 of polio Zed. D. Mitchell Aubrey Mitchell Morris Earl Mitchell O.J. (Orval James my Dad latter changed the spelling to Orville Mitchell) b. 1910 died 1993. O.J. married Opal E. Yancy (my Mother) on Sept. 12th 1933. They are buried in Miller Cemetery in Livingston Co. KY Orville James Mitchell and Opal Yancy Mitchell's children (a daughter and a son) I am also researching the Yancy line. My Mother's parents were Lacy Layefette Yancy and Bessie Mae Cooper both from the Livingston Co. KY area. (I've had better luck with the Yancy/Yancey connections than the Mitchell. I'm hoping someone can supply some names beyond James M. Mitchell from N.C.) Lacy Eulene Mitchell Liles b.1934 m.
