Marti, This is one line that I have not done much on yet. I have a Jane C. Garrison that was b. in IL in 1810 that m. Joseph G. Mitchell b. 1809 in MS and he was part Chickasaw. After looking in IL for years for their marriage, I was told that the Garrisons moved to KY from IL, but I have been working on other lines and have not pursued it. Samuel (b.1765), the father of Joseph G. Mitchell, was b. probably in Boonesboro (KY?). The Mitchell family was around Boonesboro and Rogersville, TN. Samuel's father was christened in Bristol Parrish, Prince George Co., VA. Jane C. Garrison had a sister, Mary, that m. a Atchison. I have two lines left to go on my father's side and they both start with "G" (Garrison and Garvin) and both in KY. Marti wrote: I am looking for a Mitchell connection with my Garrisons. The name runs consistently through the Garrisons and I have always felt that the families must have intermarried. I have an Edmund Garrison (b. ca 1790 in NC) who married a Louisa, born about the same time, in Kentucky. I don't have her maiden name and I am wondering if she were a Mitchell. They were probably married in Barren County, Kentucky, prior to 1809....
