I would love to have any information anyone might have on Col. William Mitchell, b. 4 Feb 1774. He married Nancy Dyer 1798 in Hawkins Co., TN. They lived in Sparta, White Co., TN and his niece was married there at his home in 1817 to Jubal B. Hancock. He died September 1827 in Sparta, TN. He was the s/o Joab Mitchell. Were there any other Mitchell families in the area? Marlene
